Wicked Witch of the East

She is product of boredom and procrastination. (The drawing--not Nessarose...well...actually...)

Recently I found out that somebody put up the entire Broadway show on youtube. (Before it was taken off for obvious reasons) I decided to watch it...the entire thing. It only makes me want to see the show more. I don't think anybody could top Idina and Cheno, though. They're just too perfect.

The musical is WAY different from the book. I say they should've cut Michelle Federer's arms off. No one ever said acting was easy--you must make sacrifices for your craft (Side note: Michelle is an Ithaca graduate--and that is my #1 school. The application shall be on its way soon.)

Also--Fiyero engaged to Galinda? Turning into the Scarecrow? WTF, mate? That's just crazy. He was already married (betrothed at birth) to a gal in the Vinkus by the time he went to Shiz. And why do they make him seem like such a pompous, egotistical jerk in the musical??? Sure, he gets better...character development...whatever. If I remember correctly, he was actually sort of shy in the book.

And where are Liir and Nor? Ama Clutch? And all those maunts? And the religious / historical overtones?!

I guess there's only so much you can cram into a musical. The book is pretty long.
